Young Volunteers
Volunteering helps young people take responsibility, make new friends and be part of their community.
If you are aged 14 and over you can join the thousands of young people across Wales who are taking action to make a huge impact by volunteering.
Take the challenge to volunteer in our community shop, at events or we will find something to suit your specific interests. If you are already volunteering, you can sign up at The Arches and receive training and support and certificates.
You can do your hours in any voluntary activity in Wales that is for a genuine community benefit. Volunteering is a useful addition to your CV, UCAS or job application that is valued by major employers and by Universities and colleges.
Community Volunteering
We recruit, train, place and support volunteers within our community for local organisations as well as for The Arches. Organisations contact us if they need a volunteer and we try and match a volunteer to their needs. There are varied opportunities to suit all ages and abilities – a selection includes
Helpers at lunch club
Charity shops
Clubs such as guides, cubs, rainbows, rangers, St Johns ambulance
Arts and culture such as pantomime, carnival, museum, Tourist Information Centre
Athletic events such as Round the Lakes races, annual Reservoir Roundabout walk.
